France passes law ending marital duty, sets climate targets, and deals with winter weather

The French National Assembly has passed a law that formally ends the concept of 'conjugal duty' in marriage. This removes the legal notion that spouses have a duty to engage in sexual relations.

Separately, the government has officially written climate targets into regulation. The rules now state that France is projected to warm by 2°C by 2030 and 4°C by 2100.
