India and Iran discuss long history as tensions rise over detained Indian citizen

An aide to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei highlighted the long-standing cultural and historical ties between India and Iran, which he said predate Islam. At the same time, Iran has denied reports that an Indian citizen was arrested during recent protests against Khamenei, calling the claims false.
