US ambassador's comments on Israel's right to Middle East land spark international backlash

Arab and Muslim nations, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Turkey's AK Party, condemned the remarks. The US State Department said Huckabee's statement was 'taken out of context' and did not reflect US policy.

Separately, the UN Security Council criticized Israel's plans for the West Bank. A report also said Trump opposes Israeli annexation of the West Bank.
