Iran says it launched major missile strikes on US bases and warship

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it carried out a large wave of missile attacks targeting American military facilities across the Middle East. The IRGC claims it hit more than 20 U.S. bases in countries including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, and also fired ballistic missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

The IRGC stated these strikes caused significant U.S. casualties and forced the aircraft carrier to retreat, while also claiming to have destroyed a key U.S. missile defense system. In response, U.S. officials said a strike destroyed the IRGC's headquarters.
