UAE President visits India and is welcomed by Prime Minister Modi

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in New Delhi for a visit to India. He was welcomed at the airport by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During the short visit, which reportedly lasted about three hours, Prime Modi gave the UAE President gifts including a carved wooden swing and pashmina shawls. The visit was described by some outlets as a historic one.
