Lawmakers clash over secret testimony on Epstein documents

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives walked out of a Justice Department briefing and criticized a closed-door interview with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. They accused Republicans of hiding information from the public.

Separately, in the United Kingdom, the government released files about the appointment of Peter Mandelson, a friend of Epstein, to an ambassador post. Police are also investigating an email about a bailout sent from Mandelson to Epstein.
