Japan shipping companies halt operations in Strait of Hormuz

Japanese shipping companies NYK and MOL have suspended transit through the Strait of Hormuz following military strikes on Iran. The Japan shipping group reports the strait is closed to energy and other traffic. Japan's government says the closure is not yet considered a threat to national survival.
