European Union sends Egypt another billion euros in financial aid

Egypt is receiving a second payment of 1 billion euros from the European Union as part of a larger financial package. The payment is scheduled to be delivered next week, according to Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat.

This is part of a broader 7.4 billion euro financing agreement between the EU and Egypt. The deal includes a total of 3 billion euros in grants and loans that are expected to be disbursed in the coming period.
