China and Sri Lanka agree to set up renminbi clearing arrangements

China and Sri Lanka have agreed to establish arrangements for clearing transactions in the Chinese currency, the renminbi. This will make it easier for businesses in the two countries to conduct trade and financial deals using renminbi instead of other currencies like the US dollar.
