Republicans push immigration and voting bills as Democrats resist

Republican lawmakers are advancing several pieces of legislation related to immigration and voting rules. These include efforts to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a bill called the SAVE Act concerning voter ID, and a proposal to strip citizenship from people convicted of terrorism.

Democrats have rejected the push to fund ICE in a Department of Homeland Security spending fight.
