Putin offers mediation and urges ceasefire in Middle East conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the escalation in the Middle East with the President of the United Arab Emirates. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin had offered Russia's mediation in the conflict before the recent escalation. Putin also called for a rapid end to hostilities in the region during calls with Gulf leaders.
