Iran allows some Indian tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has allowed some Indian-flagged vessels, specifically at least two LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) carriers, to sail through the Strait of Hormuz. This comes despite ongoing attacks on shipping in the region.

Reports from sources in India and shipping publications like Lloyds List indicate Iran may permit more Indian tankers to pass. However, official statements from Iran have denied granting any special passage rights to Indian ships.
