China warns the United States about weapons sales and military support for Taiwan

Chinese leader Xi Jinping and other officials have issued warnings to the United States about its relationship with Taiwan. They have told the U.S. to stop 'arming Taiwan' and to be 'prudent' about supplying weapons. Xi stated that Taiwan will never be allowed to separate from China.

Military activity has increased around Taiwan. China has conducted drone flights and dangerous air encounters near the island. Taiwan has tested a new attack drone for its own defense. Russia's defense minister stated that Russia supports China's position on Taiwan.
