Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other officials made several statements about the war in Ukraine and international relations. Lavrov said Russia is ready to discuss placing Ukraine under UN administration and that Russia's goals in the conflict are not subject to compromise. He also criticized the UN Secretary-General and said the OSCE security organization is on the verge of self-destruction.
Separately, the Kremlin announced a new round of negotiations on Ukraine would be held. Other officials, like Dmitry Medvedev, stated Russia does not want a global conflict. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda was quoted saying that calls to resume dialogue with Putin weaken Europe.
