Reports suggest Nord Stream gas pipelines could restart with US involvement

There are reports that the Nord Stream gas pipelines, which were damaged in 2022, might resume operations with participation from the United States. A separate report from the German magazine Spiegel claims the CIA was aware of plans to sabotage the pipelines at an early stage. Meanwhile, Europe has largely replaced Russian gas imports with liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
