AfD bans events with right-wing extremist Martin Sellner and loses legal case over meeting room

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has banned its members from holding party events with Martin Sellner, a figure from the far-right Identitarian Movement. The party's federal executive committee issued the prohibition.

Separately, the AfD's parliamentary group in the Bundestag failed in a legal attempt to be allocated a specific meeting room named after Otto Wels. In a local election matter, an AfD campaign poster in Dachau was criticized for using a misleading image.
