US lawmakers and investors warn South Korea over treatment of Coupang

US Senator J.D. Vance has warned South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo not to target the e-commerce company Coupang or other American tech firms. This comes after US investors in Coupang notified the South Korean government of their intent to file an arbitration claim and asked the US government to investigate South Korea's treatment of the company.

South Korean civic groups have protested the US investors' request to the US Trade Representative. Prime Minister Han has stated there is no discrimination against Coupang, and the company itself says it is not involved in the investors' legal claim.
