Iran announces major strikes against US and Israeli targets

Iran announced it has carried out a series of retaliatory strikes against what it describes as US and Israeli targets. The operation, referred to as 'True Promise 4' and the 40th phase of a broader campaign, reportedly involved heavy missiles and targeted economic assets, banks, and sites where military commanders were located.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated the strikes were a response to previous actions and represent its most powerful attack to date. Israel separately claimed it had conducted an attack on an Iranian facility it described as a 'nuclear weapons' compound.
