US military destroys Iranian vessels in Strait of Hormuz

The US military destroyed multiple Iranian vessels described as minelayers in the Strait of Hormuz. The operation involved A-10 Warthog aircraft, which are known for their powerful 30mm cannons.

Separately, an Israeli airstrike killed Alireza Tangsiri, an Iranian naval commander. Some reports referred to Tangsiri as the 'man who ran the Strait of Hormuz'.
