AAP party leader shot and killed outside a temple in Punjab

Lucky Oberoi, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was shot multiple times while in his car outside a gurdwara, or Sikh temple, in Jalandhar, Punjab. He died from his injuries.

In a separate development, the government of Punjab appointed Rao Abdul Kareem as the new head of the state police force.
