Singapore announces new security measures and hosts major airshow

Singapore's government announced several new security and defense policies. Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam said the country will take legal action against citizens who travel overseas to fight in foreign conflicts. The government also revealed that defense spending will remain at 3% of GDP for now but could be increased if needed.

Separately, Singapore hosted the Singapore Airshow, where China's military presence was prominent. China's J-10C fighter jet was a centerpiece of the show, and the Chinese People's Liberation Army aerobatic team performed. This display came as some reports noted the United States had a more limited presence at the event.
