IDF denies abusing Gaza toddler and drops abuse charges against troops

The Israeli military, the IDF, has denied reports that its soldiers abused a one-year-old child from Gaza. The IDF stated the child's father had used him as a human shield and that the baby was held for about ten hours before being transferred to the Red Cross.

Separately, the IDF dropped an indictment against troops who had been charged with abusing a Palestinian detainee from Gaza. The military did not provide a reason for dropping the charges in this case.
