Frankfurt holds local election and prepares to pass city budget

Frankfurt held a local election, with one long-serving official, Albrecht Fribolin, stepping down after 46 years on a district council. The city's left-wing political majority is also preparing to pass the municipal budget.

Separately, the local soccer club Eintracht Frankfurt won a match against Freiburg, and a train line to the Höchst district reopened after an accident.
