Iran claims it attacked a US aircraft carrier, but the US says it's false

Iran's state media and its military branch, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claimed they attacked the USS Abraham Lincoln. They said they used drones and ballistic missiles to strike the carrier and force it to retreat.

US officials have denied the claim, calling it a lie. There is no independent confirmation of an attack on the aircraft carrier.
