Qatar appoints representative to Gaza aid board as regional leaders discuss crisis

Qatar has appointed HE Ali Al Thawadi as its representative on the Gaza Executive Board, a body involved in coordinating aid and reconstruction efforts. At the same time, Qatar stated that the situation for reaching an agreement on Gaza is complex and that it rejects the use of humanitarian aid for political blackmail.

Separately, the Presidents of Turkiye and the United Arab Emirates held discussions focused on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, indicating continued high-level diplomatic engagement on the issue among regional powers.
