The Israeli military conducts major operations and faces criticism from Lebanon

The Israeli military, known as the IDF, carried out its largest-ever air attack sortie, involving 200 jets. In other actions, it demolished the home of a person it said carried out a deadly attack, stopped a drone from smuggling rifles, and ended a medical test for new recruits.

A United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon, called UNIFIL, condemned Israeli military activity near the border. The Lebanese army said one of its posts was fired on by Israeli forces, and its troops were ordered to shoot back.
